How do I make a site and are they free?
Creating an account and a site on AcornRack is completely free; you never have to pay for anything and you certainly don’t have to give us any of your personal details.
To create a site, you need to create an account here at AcornRack, we need to know what username you want, how you want to be identified and your email address, that’s it! We will send you an email with your password which you can change to whatever you want when you have logged in.
Once logged in, head over to the Create A Website For Free page and enter the address you want your site to have - you can attach a domain name to your site, so don’t worry if the name you want it taken.
I have lost my login information, what can I do?
Simply enter your email address into our Lost Password form and you shall be sent an email. To ensure you are the owner of the account, this email will contain a link to follow which will then create a new random password and email it to you.
Please note: we are unable to send your original password to you since it stored as a one-way hash into our database - we, or anyone else, cannot reverse this process.
The times are all in GMT, how can I change that to my time zone?
GMT is set as the default time zone. To change this on your site you need to login, head to the Admin Control Panel, click on the Settings tab change the Site Timezone drop down to your preferred timezone.
What codes can I use on my sites forums?
In order to better protect your privacy, we strip out potential hazards from forum posts and on-site mails which include Javascript and the CSS style ‘position’. You are free to use any other, correctly formatted, HTML.
